Strange Froots
Strange Froots is an "alternative chill-soul" girl group formed in 2014 at NoBad Sound Studio, a music centre for youths. As the first all-girl initiative from the studio, the group is made up of Montreal natives Naïka Champaïgne and SageS, and D.C. native Mags. Strange Froots are making their way to the forefront of the #BlackGirlMagic movement.

THe LYONZ are a Canadian musical group formed in 2013 in Monreal, Canada, consisting of Anthony “SLV” Salvo and Terrell “Norrin” McLeod Richardson. Their musical style features atmospheric dynamics, conveyed through heavily processed synthetic layers, shifting drum patterns, and the blending in of treated instruments often met with melancholic verses. Their music may also contain unconventional arrangements established by high production values, often involving extensive digital editing and mixing.

BACKXWASH is a trans rapper(they/them/she/her) from Zambia whose music provides an eccentric and aggressive social commentary.
Topics include blackness and queerness, as they strive to bring an intersectional perspective.
Inspired by Missy Elliot and Redman, BACKXWASH is known for their complex lyricism on weird instrumentals
